A Life Rewritten by Faith

On January 14, 2014, my life took an unexpected turn. While driving in a 65 mph zone, I was T-boned by a trash truck. The driver later admitted that he never even hit the brakes. My car was destroyed, and I was left fighting for my life.

The injuries I sustained were catastrophic: an extremely severe Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and a severe Diffuse Axonal Injury (DAI)—an injury that, according to medical experts, has grim prospects.

As Wikipedia states:

“It occurs in about half of all cases of severe head trauma and may be the primary damage that occurs in concussion. The outcome is frequently coma, with over 90% of patients with severe DAI never regaining consciousness. Those who awaken from the coma often remain significantly impaired.”

But despite the odds, God had other plans for me.

Through my incredible recovery, fueled by the love and support of my beautiful wife, my twin sons, and an unwavering faith, I know that none of this was possible without God’s intervention. My physical recovery is nothing short of miraculous. But I also see my purpose now: not only to share my story, but to help others share theirs, and to help others to see that Jesus performs miracles every day. We need to praise Him every chance we get.  Our King saves us daily.  It’s time we show our appreciation.  Let’s Rep our King!
