Think about this for a second—if you helped someone out, went out of your way to bless them, gave them something they needed, or pulled them out of a tough situation—wouldn’t you want at least a “thank you”? Wouldn’t you want to know they appreciated what you did? Of course you would. That’s human nature. We long to be acknowledged, not out of pride, but because gratitude connects hearts.

Now imagine how God must feel when we go days—or even just moments—without recognizing all He’s done. The air in our lungs. The roof over our head. The opportunities, the protection, the unseen battles He’s already fought for us. Praise is not just about singing a song or raising our hands in church; it’s about living in constant awareness of His goodness.

When we praise God daily, we shift our focus from what’s wrong to Who is right. It reminds our hearts that we’re not in control—He is. It softens us, strengthens us, and invites His presence closer. The Bible says in Psalm 100:4, “Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and bless His name.” Praise opens the door for intimacy with the Lord—it’s how we step into His presence.

Life will always bring reasons to complain or worry. But when you choose to praise—especially in the middle of struggle—you’re declaring that your trust in God is greater than your circumstances. You’re saying, “Lord, I see You working, even when I don’t see the results yet.”

So let’s make praise our daily posture. Not just when life is going right, but when it’s messy, uncertain, or still unfolding. Because no matter what happens, He’s still worthy.

After all… if we would expect a thank you for helping someone out, how much more does our Creator deserve our praise for helping us every single day?

“I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” — Psalm 34:1
